About Me
Hi, my name is Debbie and I am a herbalist from Chipping Campden in the beautiful Cotswolds. I first became interested in herbal medicine over 30 years ago growing my own herbs and making simple medicines for my children.
It was many years later however when I decided to enrol on a herbal medicine course at The School of Herbal Medicine. This took me on an amazing journey and after 6 years of training, I qualified as a medical herbalist (AdvDip HM MNIMH)

During my training we not only studied the herbs in depth but also undertook 6 years of anatomy and physiology, immunology, microbiology, botany and pharmacognosy. I also studied therapeutics looking at disease states and how we treat these using herbs as well as addressing diet and lifestyle.
I spent 4 years training in clinical practice and clinical skills learning to examine and diagnose patients as well as completing 500 hours of clinical practice with patients in the clinic based at the college in Somerset. This gave invaluable face to face clinical training.
I have a passion for gardening and for many years grew my own vegetables which has now been taken over by growing herbs on my allotment. If I am not working this is usually where you will find me.
I make many of the medicines myself using the herbs I grow or forage locally. I also make herbal based products which include hand and foot creams, lip balms, various ointments, chest rubs and teas which I sell from my practice.
